5 tips for fabulous weatherproof liptastic lips
It's all about the pout.....
Are your lips feeling the after effects of the cold weather outside combined with the dry heat inside? Are they chapped, dry and feeling a little sore? I find this weather wreaks havoc on my lips and makes them very dry.
Here are some top tips for maintaining healthy lips:
1. Exfoliate
You need to remove the dry skin from the surface of your lips. You can use an old toothbrush or a flannel or make your own scrub. Try these lip scrub recipes.
i. Brown Sugar Scrub
Add brown sugar to honey (just enough to make a paste with the brown sugar). Gently rub the scrub into your lips for a minute, wipe off and moisturise using one of our Super Hydrating Organic Lip Balms.
ii. Lip Balm Scrub Add a little of our Unfragranced Lip Balm to some sugar, mix to make a gravelly paste. If you want to make more of it, you can keep it in an air tight jar, it will keep for a month.
2. Treat
Using lip balms formulated with conditioning and repairing ingredients such as shea, mango, cocoa and coconut butter’s will help to protect your lips from environmental damage but keep them perfectly moisturised.
Our Super Hydrating Lip Balms contain all four butters and so are perfect at treating your lips.
